AwareReach respects the privacy of people who visit awarereach.org, contact us, request an assessment, participate in training, hold an AwareReach card or credential, or use our verification services. This Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, who may receive it, how long it may be kept, and how to contact us about it.
1. Who Is Responsible for the Information
AwareReach is responsible for the personal information described in this Policy.
Location: Zahle, Bekaa, Lebanon
Privacy contact: johny@awarereach.org
Website: awarereach.org
Our processing is intended to follow applicable Lebanese requirements, including Law No. 81/2018 relating to Electronic Transactions and Personal Data.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
Depending on how you use the website or our services, we may collect:
- your name, organization, role, phone number, email address, and preferred contact method;
- high-level facility, location, safety-need, timing, and approximate-participant information submitted through the Assessment Request or Contact forms;
- account and training-administration information;
- student or instructor identifiers, course or training details, issue and validity dates, credential status, certificate or card details, and secure verification references;
- communications and information you send to us by email, phone, WhatsApp, or another authorized channel.
Required and optional Assessment fields are identified on the form. If required information is not provided, AwareReach may be unable to review or respond to the request.
Do not use the Assessment Request form to send medical information, victim names, passwords, financial information, identity documents, confidential security details, or other sensitive records. If additional information is needed, AwareReach will identify an appropriate authorized channel during manual follow-up.
Information collected when you use the website
The website and its service providers may automatically receive technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, approximate location, pages viewed, date and time, referral information, and security or diagnostic logs.
The website currently loads a Google tag through Google Site Kit to help AwareReach understand website use and improve site performance. Google may receive the page URL, IP address, device/browser information, and cookie or similar-technology identifiers according to Google’s own terms and settings.
3. Why We Use Information
We use information only for specific operational purposes, including to:
- review and respond manually to Assessment and Contact requests;
- conduct a free phone pre-assessment and discuss an appropriate next step;
- provide, administer, document, and improve agreed safety or training services;
- create and manage accounts, cards, certificates, course records, and instructor or student status;
- verify whether a card, certificate, qualification, or authorization is valid, expired, inactive, or otherwise recorded;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve the website;
- maintain appropriate business, legal, safety, and audit records;
- comply with lawful requests or applicable obligations.
Submitting the Assessment form does not automatically book a visit, confirm a service, establish a price, or produce an automated decision. Requests are reviewed manually.
4. Email-Only Assessment Workflow
Assessment Request submissions are delivered to AwareReach by email for manual review. The current WPForms Lite setup does not retain the completed Assessment submission in a WordPress entries database. The owner-notification email is the operational request record. No automatic requester-confirmation email is currently sent.
5. Credential and QR Verification
AwareReach cards and certificates may contain QR codes or secure links used to verify a holder’s record. A person who has a valid verification link may be shown limited verification information such as the holder’s name, AwareReach identifier, course or credential, issue date, validity date, and current status.
Expired, inactive, or replaced records may continue to appear with their correct status so that an issued card or certificate is not misleadingly treated as valid. Verification records are not intended for unrelated marketing use.
6. Who May Receive Information
Information may be accessed only as needed by:
- authorized AwareReach personnel and authorized instructors or service personnel;
- website hosting, email, form, security, backup, and technical-service providers supporting AwareReach;
- Google and related analytics services when the Google tag is active;
- professional advisers or public authorities when disclosure is lawfully required or necessary to protect rights, safety, or security.
AwareReach does not sell personal information. Service providers may process information outside Lebanon under their own infrastructure and contractual terms.
7. Retention
- Assessment and general contact requests: up to 24 months after the last communication, unless an agreed service, dispute, safety matter, or legal obligation requires longer retention.
- Service and business records: for the period reasonably needed to deliver the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, and meet applicable obligations.
- Training, card, certificate, instructor, student, status, and QR-verification records: for as long as reasonably necessary to maintain accurate training history and authenticate issued credentials, including the ability to show that a credential has expired, become inactive, or been replaced.
- Technical and analytics information: according to AwareReach’s configured systems and the retention schedules of the relevant service providers. Aggregated or de-identified statistics may be kept longer.
Information that is no longer required should be deleted, anonymized, or securely restricted where reasonably possible and consistent with verification, safety, legal, and record-integrity needs.
8. Security
AwareReach applies reasonable organizational and technical measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, alteration, or disclosure. No internet or email system can be guaranteed completely secure, so website forms should be used only for the limited information requested.
9. Your Requests and Rights
You may contact AwareReach to ask whether we process information about you and to request access, correction, completion, updating, objection, or deletion where applicable. Send the request to johny@awarereach.org.
We may need to verify the requester’s identity. Some information may need to be retained where necessary to preserve an issued credential’s authenticity, maintain accurate safety or training records, comply with an obligation, or establish or defend rights. Where appropriate, an expired or inactive status may be preserved instead of deleting the underlying verification record.
10. Cookies and Analytics Choices
Browsers generally allow users to block or delete cookies. Blocking cookies may affect some website functions. Visitors may also use Google’s available privacy and analytics controls. For information about how Google uses information from websites that use its services, see Google’s explanation.
11. Children
The Assessment Request form is intended for organization owners, management, safety teams, HR departments, and other authorized adult representatives. Children should not submit personal information through this form. Information about a minor that is genuinely required for an authorized training or safety service should be handled through the appropriate parent, guardian, institution, or authorized process.
12. External Links
The website may link to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices and are not controlled by AwareReach.
13. Changes to This Policy
AwareReach may update this Policy when its website, services, providers, or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
