Integrated Emergency Response Awareness - Level 1 (AR-IERA1)

Duration: 8 hours in one day, including 75 minutes of scheduled breaks and 6 hours 45 minutes of guided learning activity
Format: One eight-hour integrated awareness session
Maximum group size: Maximum 20 participants in one awareness cohort
Who it is for: Employees, teachers and education teams, administrative personnel, hospitality staff, security and operations teams, NGO or community teams, examination-centre personnel, visitors with assigned organisational responsibilities, and other non-specialist building occupants.

From 13 to 20 participants: one qualified lead instructor plus a second qualified instructor or authorised training assistant, with sufficient duplicate equipment and safe station controls.

A one-day integrated awareness programme covering life-threatening medical emergencies, common trauma, vital-sign equipment, safe evacuation, and tightly limited initial fire response.

Description

A one-day programme that gives non-specialist participants broad, practical awareness of life-threatening medical emergencies, common trauma, medical warning signs and vital-sign equipment, safe fire evacuation, and tightly limited initial fire response.

One eight-hour awareness session for a maximum of 20 participants. Recommended age 16+. No specialist background is required. Suitable staffing, equipment, venue, site information, and safety controls remain mandatory for delivery.

This programme supports recognition, calm decision-making, emergency activation, and safe participation. It does not certify individual practical competence and does not constitute completion of AR-BLS, AR-TFA1, AR-MFV1, or AR-FEV1. Live fire, live-flame extinguisher discharge, statutory inspection, fire-risk assessment, advanced clinical care, and unrestricted participant fingerstick testing are excluded.
