Assessment
Written Examination — 70 multiple-choice questions, closed book, 90 minutes. Consequently, candidates must achieve a minimum of 80% to pass. Practical Assessment — Multi-stage assessment including suppression system operation and a full incident command scenario. All components must be passed.
Prerequisite
AwareReach requires a valid AR-FWM (Fire Warden / Marshal) certification for enrolment. Additionally, a minimum of 6 months of documented fire safety experience is strongly recommended.
Certification
Successful candidates receive the AR-FFO — Advanced Fire Fighting Officer Certificate of Competence, issued under the AwareReach Certification Authority. In addition, the certificate remains valid for 2 years from date of issue.
