Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of AR-ITT, candidates will be able to:

– Recognise and manage crush injury, compartment syndrome, and degloving wounds in industrial settings
– Apply advanced haemorrhage control including wound packing, junctional tourniquets, and haemostatic agents
– Assess and treat blast, penetrating, and barotrauma injuries
– Manage burns and chemical skin and inhalation injuries using industrial decontamination protocols
– Respond to confined space incidents including atmospheric hazard assessment and safe entry
– Treat electrical injuries, fall-from-height trauma, and struck-by incidents
– Implement mass-casualty triage and command in industrial emergency scenarios
– Coordinate patient packaging and evacuation in access-restricted environments

– Module 1: Industrial Hazard Recognition and Risk Analysis (4h)
– Module 2: Advanced Trauma Assessment in Hazardous Environments (4h)
– Module 3: Crush Injury, Compartment Syndrome, and Degloving (4h)
– Module 4: Burns, Chemical Exposure, and Decontamination (4h)
– Module 5: Blast, Penetrating, and Barotrauma (4h)
– Module 6: Confined Space and Atmospheric Hazard Response (6h)
– Module 7: Electrical Injury, Falls, and Struck-By Incidents (4h)
– Module 8: Mass Casualty Triage in Industrial Settings (4h)
– Module 9: Written Examination (2h)
– Module 10: Practical Assessment Stations (4h)

Assessment

Written Examination — 60 multiple-choice questions, closed book, 75 minutes. Consequently, candidates must achieve a minimum of 80% to pass.

Practical Assessment — 6 mandatory assessment stations covering industrial trauma scenarios. All stations must be passed with a minimum of 80% per station.

Prerequisite

AwareReach requires a valid AR-ERO (Emergency Response Officer) certification for enrolment. Additionally, documented equivalent qualification may be accepted, assessed by the Head of Centre.

Certification

Successful candidates receive the AR-ITT — Industrial Trauma Technician Certificate of Competence, issued under the AwareReach Certification Authority. In addition, the certificate remains valid for 2 years from date of issue.
